mindfulness meditation

“In mindfulness meditation, we are focusing on being present with our breathing and noticing thoughts come and go without attachment or judgment. We replace the judgmental watcher with a more abstract watcher or “witness”. This practice can cultivate clarity and stability because normally we are totally fixated on the content of our thoughts, glomming onto some, barely noticing some, and freaking out about others. This kind of meditation is very good for cleaning out our mental plumbing.”
