Seek to understand before you attempt to judge.

You’ve spent your whole life creating your personality. Even now it is a work in progress, with every detail being fine tuned in response to your experience of life.
Imagine, though, how it would be if your personality were to simply vanish. What exactly would be left?
You would still be you, just as you were on the day you were born. In fact, without the personality you’ve spent so long developing, you would be purely you.
There would be no mask behind which to hide. The intact, unblemished essence of your being would be clear and unmistakably evident.
The vast majority of things that you spend so much time worrying and fretting about each day, matter only to your personality. They are of no real concern to the authentic person who lives inside.
Seek to stay in touch with the true person you are beyond the personality you have adopted. And you’ll devote more energy to what really matters.
Ralph S. Marston
What are you convincing yourself to believe about yourself? How are you convincing yourself to be?
Are you convincing yourself that you are sick and weak, or are you convincing yourself that you are healthy, fit and energetic? Are you convincing yourself that you are poor or are you convincing yourself that your life is filled with richness?
Your thoughts are very believable, and they are especially believed by you. So make those thoughts positive and beneficial.
Every moment you are convincing yourself of something. Choose to use that power in a good and life-affirming way.
Convince yourself, in ever deeper and more meaningful ways, of how great it is to be alive. Convince yourself of the never-ending value of finding beauty and opportunity in each moment.
Convince yourself to persevere in making life better for everyone. Convince yourself, and it will be.
— Ralph Marston
Open yourself up to new possibilities by letting go of old, worthless habits and assumptions. Open yourself up to new richness by remembering how good life can be when you let yourself live it fully.
You are truly unique and special. To fulfill the unique possibilities that are yours, you must allow them and act on them.
It is easy to get stuck in a familiar, comfortable rut, and to dismiss any new possibilities as being too much trouble. However, those possibilities will give you massive amounts of fresh energy and enthusiasm, so don’t let them pass you by.
Open up to the new possibilities that come with each new day, each new situation, each new idea, and every person you encounter. As you move steadily and unavoidably forward in time, experience the richness available along the way.
You’re never too young or too old to fully live the moment you’re in. You’re never too rich or too poor, too well informed or too ill-informed to grab the great possibilities that are right in front of you.
Let yourself be more adventurous today, opening up to life and all it offers. Open up, and feel the joy of being splendidly alive.
Consider, decide, and do. Think about what’s most important to you, and then put those thoughts into action.
Take notice of the doubts and fears, learn what they have to teach, and then let them go. Make the commitment to move forward no matter what, and honor that commitment each day.
Achievement is challenging but not particularly complicated. It’s a matter of consistently putting your values, goals, desires and dreams into action.
It’s up to you to make your life the way you want it to be. Every day is filled with opportunities for you to make meaningful progress.
Don’t settle for being overcome with regret, wondering what might have been. Use this day, this month, this year to create the best of what you know can be.
Consider what truly matters, decide with passion and commitment to go for it, and do what you must do to make it happen. Today is your time to live with purpose, so go ahead and make it count.
